How We Test

Every review on What Sticks is written after genuine, hands-on use, not a first impression from a demo or a homepage. What "testing" means differs slightly by persona, but the standard is the same: disclose the methodology, disclose the affiliate relationship, and report what actually happened, including the parts that didn't work.

Zara Henley: ADHD & neurodivergent tools

Every tool is used for a minimum of 30 days before a verdict is published. Every review includes a Friction Score across setup, daily use, and recovery after a lapse, because for ADHD brains, what happens after you fall off a system matters as much as day one.

Marcus Webb: AI tools & explainers

Tool reviews are tested against their own marketing claims via a Reality Check: the boldest specific claim on the product's site, tested directly, reported honestly, even when the marketing turns out to be accurate. Comparisons run over a minimum 90-day window.

Nico Strand: Vibe coding

Every project walkthrough includes a Build Spec showing the real time taken and real cost including the failed attempts and debugging, not just the highlight reel. Tools are only linked once they've actually been used in the article being written.

Affiliate disclosure

Articles that contain affiliate links say so, on every article, every time. See the disclosure block at the top of each review. We only recommend tools we've genuinely tested.
